About Ukala Education Foundation.

Welcome to the Ukala Education Foundation. We are natives of the Ukala Kingdom in the Oshimili-North Local Government Area of Delta State of Nigeria. Thus, Ukala Kingdom comprises two areas – Ukala Okpunor and Ukala Okwute.
This foundation was created out of concern for the future generation of the kingdom and the lack of educational resources for our children to attain their full potential. Therefore, the mission of the Ukala Education Foundation is to raise awareness of the plight of our children and foster the resources to support and improve their lives and the environment in which they learn. Thus, breaking the chain of poverty.

Ukala Okpunor Primary School
Water and Toilet facilities:
- The toilet has been rehabilitated, but there is no water source for effective management and other uses. We can consider digging and building an underground water storage well and installing a stanchion with a water-lifting pump for ease of use.
- Bookshelves are needed for every classroom
- We need Nine sets of Tables and Chairs for teachers.
- TEXTBOOKS – most of the pupils do not have the recommended textbooks, and the ones provided by some agencies can be put on these shelves for use in the classroom.
- Classroom: Three classroom door locks currently require repairs
- The head teacher’s office must be partitioned to create a store.
- four windows require repairs
- three doors require repairs
White classroom boards:
- The school still uses blackboards. Nine pieces of whiteboard are required with markers.
Connection to public power supply and solar security lighting:
- The school is currently not connected to the public power supply, and installing solar security lights will improve security in the school.
- Lawnmower: By the age of the pupils and population, there is a need for a lawnmower to maintain the school field and premises effectively.
- Repair the gatehouse (especially the windows and door, which need replacement).
Ukala Okwute Primary School
- six bookshelves for the six classes are needed.
- Textbooks and workbooks for the various classes are needed.
- Toilet facility needed.
- Water supply system. We can do a borehole here.
- At least three classrooms will need to be rehabilitated.
- Solar-powered security lighting is needed.
- Lawnmower needed (ii) Chemical spraying machine needed
- White border markers needed/ white chalk required.
Mixed Primary School Ukala Okpunor:
- Perimeter fencing: apparent encroachments on the school land must be stemmed. Tree crop demarcation is an option.
- Multipurpose laboratory
- Administrative block building
- At least one block of classroom
- Improvement in toilet facilities through water supply enhancement.
- Improvement in water supply facilities: one underground water storage facility. The rainwater harvesting channels require improvement.
- Staff quarters: Ukala people offer free accommodation for two teachers and two Corpers.
- School library.
- Extending public power supplies to the school and providing solar-powered security lighting.
- Staff chairs and tables.
- The college needs a career conference that includes analysis and exposure to study habit skills.
